Fossils in Montana
Rock of the month: Special Guest Speaker - Brody Hovatter from the University of Washington

Investigating the extinction of dinosaurs and rise of mammals in northeastern Montana.

Cretaceous-Paleogene mass extinction in the Hell Creek area of                     northeastern MontanaHe will talk about the types of research questions we're investigating, what it's like to do paleo research in the area, what it's like to be on a dig in general, etc.



Potluck: All members are encouraged to bring a small salad, casserole, snack, beverage, or dessert.

We are also seeking nominations for the offices of president, vice president, secretary, and three board positions for the 2018-19 term. Elections will be held during our November General Meeting.

Members join together to enjoy each other's company as we explore new avenues of learning through field trips, lectures, seminars, craft workshops, 
special shows and events.
