Date: - 9/13 Time: 7:00 AM Departure Location: SW corner of Lynnwood Target Parking Lot Travel time: 1 hour to Denny Creek Trail Head Materials: Epidote, garnet, hematite, magnetite, load stone, pyrite, and quarts Special Instructions: Northwest Forest Pass required for each vehicle at trail head Bring Food and water Tools: rock hammer, chisel, backpack and rock carry containers, two-way radios, water spray bottle (optional), and good hiking clothes Conditions: This is a class IV (some steep hills and rock scrambling) to the collection site with a 1.25 mile hike from 3,600 feet altitude to 4,200. The stream crossing is very easy as the water level is quite low.
