Explore old and new riverbed in a half mile washout area of the Index-Galena Road. We will see how the flooding from Fall 2006 has created new areas of sand, gravel and cobblestones with a few interesting stones mixed in an area easy to explore during the seasonal low flow of the river. Miriel and her family will lead a walk through the area that is less than a mile-- bring extra shoes that can get wet, a sack lunch and knapsack. We'll leave the Lynnwood Target parking lot at 9 a.m. with an estimated return time of 2 p.m.
