There's Don!
Hello!  Seven Maplewooders had a great time this weekend on the field trip to Denny Creek and Mineral Gulch.  Many thanks to the trip leader, Don Wilcox, who did a wonderful job leading... except somebody forgot his eyewear!  For shame...  At any rate, it was quite the foggy day, but the weather was good to us, and the temperature was perfect.  Don found the best pyrite cubes, and we all came home w/ a variety of quartz, epidot, garnets, pyrite, amethyst, hematite, and a few others.  Perhaps this is why they call it Mineral Gulch!

Trip photos have been posted to our Facebook page, which can be seen here --> https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.533570413335741.142678.149243688435084&type=1
