This summary contains basic information that each attendee must know before each trip. This is a light CLASS 3 Trip: less than a mile hike in, but it is a long mile on the way out with 25lbs of rock. There is about a 350 foot elevation change from the parking lot to the canyon floor. Material: Sky blue agate, some with pink orbicular inclusion. Seam Agate. Decent quality red jasper as well as lower quality pieces of many other colors (green and purple most common). Small geodes in host rock. Lots of pretty stuff to be found! PLEASE REMEMBER: A Communications radio IS MANDATORY FOR EACH CAR. They are available for less than $25 a pair on Amazon, and at many local stores.
